Roswell’s Emergency Warning System is Up and Running The City of Roswell operates an emergency warning system designed to alert citizens to impending natural or manmade emergencies that could affect their health and/or safety. The first phase of the system is comprised of nine sirens strategically located throughout Roswell, primarily within major outside gathering areas including parks and schools. Roswell’s Emergency Management Agency will conduct a test of the severe weather alert warning sirens on the first Wednesday of each month. These tests will begin at 12:00PM and consist of one sequence of audible signals. Should an actual emergency occur and the sirens are activated, the severe weather alert warning siren’s audible signal will continue for more than one sequence. If this situation should arise, citizens should check local news (radio or television) for severe weather alert information and carefully follow instructions. The emergency warning sirens are installed at the following locations: 1. Waller Park Extension, 160 Dobbs Drive 2. 964 Alpharetta Street 3. Roswell Area Park, 10495 Woodstock Road 4. Northeast corner of Hardscrabble Road and King Road, across from Roswell High School 5. Sweetapple Park, 11850 Crabapple Road 6. Hembree Park, 850 Hembree Road 7. Fire Station #4, 1601 Holcomb Bridge Road 8. East Roswell Park, 9000 Fouts Road 9. Minhinette Street, across from Woodstock Soccer Complex.
